March Favourites

My Favourite March products
As it is exam time in Scotland I have had not been able to go out shopping in weeks *sobs silently* so I decided to spend some of my Christmas money online. I was very nervous about buying makeup this way but I was definitely not disappointed as the products turned out to be some of my favourites.

No7 Instant Radiance Foundation

My skin is naturally very dry but this foundation managed to cover it up, it was very nourishing and managed to give a very even-toned complexion. My skin felt like I had no makeup on at all yet it managed to stay on all day. As the name suggests as soon as I applied the foundation my skin glowed, I think no matter whether you have dry, oily or combination skin this product will make your skin look and feel amazing!

EOS lip balm

I had heard a lot about this lip balm on YouTube, you usually can’t buy EOS in Scottish shops so I was soooo excited when I saw it. I think I bought it in a raspberry flavour (not completely sure, the dark pink one), I loved its flavour and taste……and yes I might have tried a bit….! It was really smooth and moisturising on my lips and it wasn’t sticky or too liquid.

Max Factor Glossfinity Nail Varnish

I bought this varnish in Royal Blue, I usually go for pastel colours but I loved this shade sooo much! I didn’t expect how glossy and smooth the varnish would be but I was very very pleased with the result. It didn’t chip either, it lasted about 3-4 days without chipping at all. A very pleased shopper! I will definitely be buying this varnish in more colours!

MAC Showstopper Shadow Set

I love this! This four eye shadow set has a lot of neutral tones that blend together to give a casual look yet can transition easily for a girl’s night out. Three of the colours stay on the lid for a long time with no fallout but one of the colours creates a light dusting of eye shadow over my cheek, I’m going to try using a damp eye shadow brush and see if it stays. I will update you guys asap.

So these are some of my favourite products that I have discovered recently, I hope you enjoyed reading this!

Ashley Benson

Celebrity Lookbook: Ashley Benson
I’m sure you all know this stylish gal from playing Hanna Marin on ABC family’s hit series Pretty Little Liars. On and off set her style is evident, Ashley is probably the celebrity who has the style closest to my own.
Makeup
Ashley often wears smokey eyes usually in the colours grey or black to accentuate her bright blue eyes - find the colour that suits you most and create a smokey eye. (I will do a smoky eye tutorial soon) Ashley often wears light coverage foundation and a light pink blush on the apples of her cheeks. She would also wear a hot pink lip gloss or a nude colour depending where she was going.

Hair
Ashley has short/medium blonde hair with a blunt cut. Her hair is usually styled in a center parting and focused in around the face. She either wears her hair in beachy waves or straight and styled. To achieve beach waves use salt spray, scrunch your hair after applying to get the look.

Style
Ashley has a comfy-chic sense of style with a grungy vibe. Her wardrobe consists of pieces with grey or black tones. Her day to day look is very laid back she wears grey jeans or shorts usually paired with an oversized black top, combat boots, layered necklaces and a leather jacket. Her red-carpet look is extremely polished, she wears a lot of blue hues and glamorous necklaces. Accessories are definitely the key to make the outfit, she wears long necklaces or multiple rings. Ashley has many ear piercings, she usually wears long earrings on the bottom hole and studs on the top ones.

Hope you enjoyed this celeb lookbook!

Kylie Jenner

Celebrity Lookbook:
Kylie Jenner

Kylie Jenner is the half sister to the Kardashians, so undoubtably she has a really great sense of style. She is only 16 but has a very personal put together look that I’m sure everyone is envious of.

Makeup
Kylie definitely wears a lot more makeup than her sister Kendall, she wears a thick line of liquid liner & sometimes she also puts black pencil eyeliner on the water line. Then she layers on the mascara to create fuller, longer lashes. She wears foundation with light coverage and a neutral or pinky coloured lip. Depending on your face shape contour your cheeks and jawline with a light blush or bronzer. Use a highlighter on the top of your cheeks to brighten your face. Kylie's eyebrows are the key part of her make-up look, she has full perfectly shaped brows, to achieve this find a eyebrow set that matches your colouring, mine is from benefit (either a pencil or a colour/wax combo) and fill in your brows in small strokes.

Hair
Kylie's hairstyle has changed over the years, at the moment she has short, ombred hair that is usually kept straight. When she had long hair it was either kept in loose curls or sleek and straight. After you have washed your hair blow dry it upside down to achieve a voluminous look, if you haven't got naturally straight hair then take small 5cm sections of your hair starting from the base and straighten. To achieve curly locks start the same process but use a curling wand, I prefer a large barreled one as it creates natural curls.

Style
Kylie's style is very easy to pin-point, it is difficult to find a photo when she is not wearing a black/white combo. Her style is also slightly less relaxed than Kendall's, she wears a lot of skirts and dresses sometimes paired with an oversized plaid shirt. Shoes are very important in Kylie's look, of course not all of us can by $1,000 shoes so I try and buy affordable heels, boots or flats usually in black or white as they are Kylies go to colours.

Hope you enjoyed my lookbook!
